Mall Nukke is fantastically productive and remarkably consistent. This is clearly demonstrated in her exhibition “Idols 2” that opened on 21 November at Sammas Gallery. The title already suggests that this is the continuation of something. Certain things have remained the same while in other areas the treatment and technique have undergone a radical change.
The ideological direction is the opposite of the exhibition “Idols 1”.
It is not clear whether an attempt has been made to knock someone off the snowy summit of Olympus or is actually trying to put them up there…
